Grouping Issues with my 22-250 model 10/110 predator hunter max 1 savage

really need to try some other ammo options. I have had rifles that were mediocre with several loads found the right load and out came a tack driver. expensive investment to not spend couple dollars on ammo
 
I have several Accustock rifles. I bought a lightly used Max-1 in 6.5 Creedmoor in November. The groups were more like an improved cylinder pattern. That explained why an almost new rifle went at such a great price. Not a problem though. I simply removed the stock, made sure there was no debris under the stock, then I re-torqued the stock to the proper specs using the proper sequence.

I have changed trigger springs or complete triggers in several accustock Savaga rifles. They are very picky about stock torque, but they stay put after you get them right.
 
Well I took the advice of letting my barrel get super dirty but the winchester bullets was not working out for me so I switched from the 55 grain winchester varmint-x bullets to Hornady 50 grain superformance bullets. Gun is shooting alot better now. Thanks for everyones input.
 
Here's a thought. Put the winchester ammo back in the cabinet and go buy you some hornady 55 or 50 grain v-max ammo and try again. I think your just getting some inconstancy out of the ammo your shooting, or shooter error, possibly hammering the trigger a little too much. That is of course, everything is nice and tight on the rifle. Don't get too carried away with cleaning, and try not to string too many shots together with the 250, they warm up rather quickly and could affect your groups as well. Good luck.
