Guided Antelope Hunt

bowhunt32 ,

There are a LOT of nice antelope right here in Oregon. I shoot sage rats over in Christmas Valley, and I see antelope everytime I'm over there. You might want to do a little scouting.

Good luck. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Evil Lurker,

I've hunted antelope here in our home state. Problem is our state takes so dang many years to draw a good tag. I drew a few years back and killed one with a muzzle loader. Also a buddy and I hunted E.Beaty's butte a couple years back with a muzzle loader and he killed a heck of a buck. This particular hunt, is more about gathering my brothers up from all the corners of this country and having a good time.

thats what we do when we go to wy. we have people from ark. co. norcal and socal. and even have friends from craig co. come to camp for a good time and great food!! we love to see the great hunter from craig because she brings her husband and little girl!!lol we have a bunch of people that come and not have a tag and some hunt stuff that you don't need a lic. yote, pd. and jackrabbits plus some other stuff. sage grouse and cottontail needs a small game lic. but there is plenty of things to hunt!! can't miss with a trip to wy. and the people are great!! from the game wardens to the wildlife bio. that stop by camp to say hi. all nice people. have a great season where ever you go!! (had to say that ELKS)lol

Okay, I got ya. Nice technique with the ghillies. Blackpowder antelope is something most people are not ever going to fill a tag on. That's a beauty. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

If you combine all three of your posts, its one big advertisement.

A DIY antelope hunt in CO for an out of stater costs about $300 for the license. I can show thousands of acres of private land and any one of dozens of landowners who will encourage you to hunt their land for free.

48 $ for 1 doe or 96$ for 2 thats deer or lope!! 6 peoples apps. in 1 envelope for 12 animals.. all get drawn or all don't!! 6 people 2 envelops = 24 animals. thats alot of meat!! plus all of the rest of the hunting.. thats why wyoming is great!!

Bowhunt32 thats a nice pronghorn. How long does it take to draw a tag there?

Huntingking if you read my original post it says I HUNT not live close to where you described. I HUNT within minutes of Crawford and Chadron Neb which is about as far NW in Neb as you can get.

SD is another good spot for antelope. Archery are no draw, just apply and get one. Rifle is a draw. The west side is where they are and there are walk in areas. I hunted Harding Cty in the NW corner every year with rifle, archery is for the whole west Sd and there is lots of BLM and state/nat'l land to hunt. Decoy is a blast and frommid sept to mid Oct is the best time to decoy. During the heat of the day use blinds. No guide needed. I have killed 5 in 7 years with my bow. DIY is a blast.

Archery tag approx 3-4 years for a decent unit.
Muzzle loader 4-6
rifle 10-13 years.

These are rule of thumb, and estimates on what I would consider the better units. There are a few longer, and a few shorter.
