Gun Trading with Bud's?

I was curious if they give you a pretty fair trade value or if its like dealing with gun show stealers and pawn shops. I know they need to make their money but....

Can you give me an idea how the deal went? How you worked out the trade, shipping and that stuff???

Got a reply from Bud's on a trade. I guess their offer was fair, (to them) but I think I'll have to pass. I just think my shotgun is worth a little more than their offer. So, back in the safe it goes for now.

Not really but quite a bit less than I think its worth base off what they sell for and condition. But I know, they have to pay the bills so they are going to offer less than true value.

I built a noveske varmageddon clone all noveske parts and a Leupold vx3 scope and was gonna trade for gen2 700 260 threaded and fluted. They offered 600 for it because it wasnt a box gun. Forget them, had over 1500 in parts alone.

Well, took it to a gun show today and got pretty close to what I was asking. At least I didn't loose my tail on it. Didn't have to ship it either so saved a few bucks there too. Turned out OK I guess.

It's been a while so from memory, I submitted the request along with the info on my pistol and they made a preliminary offer. We haggled a bit, their offer was higher but pretty close to what I considered the pistol to be worth.

I selected 2 from their stock that I was interested in and sent in mine. They got it, agreed to the deal and shipped the new ones to me. I started with a pocket .40 that was borderline unshootable (hurt like a [beeep]) and ended up with a compact 9mm and subcompact 380.

I got a good deal on the 40, the guy I bought it from had likely shot it a couple times and never wanted to see it again. I traded it for more than I bought it for and when everything was done I probably had 50 into the 2 pistols.
