Guns they should have never discontinued.........

Savage Model 20 it was so far ahead of its time. This ones pretty rough but I have a new chunk of wood for it.

A new kid on the block if 65 is new.Amen to the 722 Rem in the versatile little 222 Remington. It,s a light weight walk around that is extremely accurate and from toe tips to 250yds will do all asked.
 
When I was a teenager, I had a Ruger Bearcat 22 pistol. It was a beautiful little thing with lots of brass in it. My friend lost it in a field one day. Don't make them any more at least not like that.

Dad has one like that. Gets used and abused on the trapline.
 
Thought of another two the other day.. I still like the Ruger Mark II better than the Mark III. The release on the Mark III is definitely nice. You can keep the loaded chamber indicator though.

Also the Beretta 626 side by side. I would buy 2 of these new if they came out again. One rare bird..
 
I feel real lucky... (and of course am "impressed" with my long ago wisdom to have acquired them...lol)... to own a few of the pieces mentioned... Sako Vixen Varmint in .222R, S&W Mdl 19 (my first duty gun) 4", and a Remington 1100 Special Field 20ga 21" barrel...

I have always wanted a Savage 99 rotary mag in .250...
Wish I had my uncles Win Mdl 52 Sporter And, I am surprised that the Ithaca Mdl 37 didn't get any votes...

IMHO, it was a crying shame, as the case hardened internals provided a much smoother trigger pull than the stainless steel ones that were applied to the "L" frame firearms...

I have an old 2.5" 19 that was re-worked by our PD armorer many years ago and pulling the trigger is like slipping your finger through warm butter...Even after thousands of rounds, it still is a 'surprise' when it goes off, as it's so fast and easy to pull...

We were issued "L" frame 685s to replace our 13s and 19s and I never could get the response out of them that I could out of the earlier ones...
 
The K-frame S&W's had the great balance of portability and power. I never liked the L-frame guns; they just aren’t responsive pointing for me and carried like pigs.

This stuff is good ammo. I used to buy it for $11.50 for 50 rds. Then I bought some for $13.50 for 50 rds. It has gone up quite a bit. I still have a couple hundred left unfired. All loaded in Starline brass. It was a great deal at the time.

May be time to buy some dies....
