Yes I did out to 40 yards. Pattern is consistantly low about 6 inches or more but its wide spread. Thats why I held high, just about the top of its head.

Ahhh... If you don't mind a couple suggestions? Put a bit larger bead to raise point of impact to point of aim. Pattern with tighter chokes to get a more center dense pattern. Those BB's are plenty of muscle for a 30 yard coyote. At 30 yards, it ain't the load that's the trouble. Though I will say, I do prefer No. Four Buck over the lead BB as an all around coyote load. And trying some Four Buck isn't a bad thing at all. Just get the gun shooting to point of aim and get enough pellets in 10" at point of aim to reliably do the job. No doubt, it's a process.

Problem is I dont have the pockets to try a ton of chokes lol. Last shotgun I had patterned awesome with a dead coyote choke..should I just try it?

Also correct me if im wrong but doesnt a LARGER bead actually lower your POI? Maybe Im thinking backwards on it

Sorry! That is correct. Dang it, I was posting while half thinking I guess. Raise your comb to raise the point of impact. A stick on comb piece like the Kick Eez or Beretta Gel Tec can do that for you without breaking the bank. HOWEVER, if you plan to try different chokes or loads I wouldn't do anything to it until you find the combination that works best for you. Different loads and sometimes a different choke can throw the load to a different point of impact. If you get lucky No. Four Buck might pattern right where you need it to.

Reference to the choke, for economy you might try a factory screw in flush style choke in Improved Modified .025" constriction for the No. Four Buck. That style usually cost about $20 and that particular constriction has routinely been the most consistent and least fussy I've used with large shot. It might not be the absolute fine tuned best, but it's usually not far off and gets a workable pattern easier than tighter chokes. Carleson's, Trulock and Briley should be able to hook you up for that. Just a thought...

If it's just a tad low, get a bigger front bead to raise point of impact to point of aim.
AH gotya gotya. Yea definitely didnt hit it where I intended..I will admit.. I was shaking like a leaf too lol.

Mapes, If You want a cheap way to raise your comb and not have to order anything. Go to Walmart crafts section and they have a package of colored foam sticky pads. They are 5inx8in and are what we use with our trap kids to raise their point of impact. You can get them to raise the point of impact to where you want. I even use it with my adjustable comb trap gun when I move from the 16yds back to handicaps. I put one pad on and it keeps my sight picture the same from 16yds back to the 25yd line. they are about 1/16th of an inch thick or close to it. And won't damage the stock.
