H335 and muzzle flash?

Out of curiosity I loaded up some 40gr Nosler BT's and used Steve "Dogzappers" loads.

Got great accuracy out of the 223AI, even with my 1 in 8 twist barrel. However I got some serious muzzle flash on a few shots.

Is this normal with H335?

Guess I've not noticed flash, maybe it's there.
My brass is not any more diry than other powders.
I run it in both my 223AIs, 52 gr up to 75 Amax.

Have seen others complain about muzzle flash but have not noticed it in 20"AR (.223) w/or without flash hider and I have hunted a good deal at night w/both??

Interesting that muzzle flash experienced by about half of those using H335 and the other half did not seem to have that problem???

FWIW, my experience based on shooting near max. load, using CCI 400 primers in one bolt gun and two different 20" AR's (one w/and one w/o flash suppressor). Nighttime shooting w/both AR's, daytime only w/bolt gun. For the record, I'm not missing the muzzle flash due to blinking at the shot as I usually see bullet strike in the field when the target is close enough to do so.

I use H335 a lot in the 223 and have not noticed the flash. Maybe it happens? I don't hunt a lot at night so that may be why. The main flash I see is stout loads of H110 in a 44 mag.. I enjoy that!

I have noticed it as well in my 6x45. In fact, a local "expert reloader" as he referred to himself at my range indicated to me that I was "on the verge of blowing my self up" as he had reloaded for decades and never saw such a thing. Yet when I explained to him what I was shooting he said he was not aware that the .223 case could simply be resized for various other chamberings. Weird.......
