Handheld GPS

I bought the Garmin 62st also. I absolutely love this thing. Very accurate and nice and compact. I also use this with the family for Geocaching. Sure beats my old Magellan that was 11 years old.

Cabela's Recon Hunt on iPhone. Battery life sucks on iPhone but the functionality of Recon Hunt is hard to beat. Free topo maps from MyTopo, and for $10 a year you can have a public / private land coverage layers in quite a few states. The cost? $3 for the app, $10 for the property boundaries overlays.

Through Cabela's, it is an in app purchase for Recon Hunt. Unfortunately for many, it only is available for 10 states at this time: CO, AZ, CA, ID, MT, NM, OR, UT, WY, WA. It also does not give you private property owner data, only property boundaries.

You can get them for free off gpsdepotfile for your GPS, but they are not as nice as the SD card from our sponsers.
