has anyone have any experience with a nosler 60g Bal Tip?

Well they shoot very well out of my 1-8 twist Stag Super Varminter at 2.260" with 24 Varget and Rem 7.5's. Problem is at that speed I am probably better off with a v-max for yotes but they shoot they about the same so I guess Im good. That's all I've got!

I've used this bullet (60gr nosler ballistic tip varmint) exclusively for about 5 years in .223 (gas gun), love it enough to never think about switching. Super fur friendly on coyote and i've never had a pass through or any fur damage, shot one 4 times at 5 yards no pass thru's. Really smokes em when you hit them.
Initially I used 23.5 grains of varget which had great accuracy and was well within book max, then about two years ago I reassessed the load and brought it up to 25.8 grains of varget. Literally shoots one hole. Tread lightly but i've tried up to 26.5 grains with no problems, 25.8 just yeilded the best accuracy in that "hot load" neighborhood. It's basically a full case and you'll hear some crunch when you seat the bullet.
Energywise you're really not getting much more if any than what a 55 will do, but my gun likes the 60's better and you get a little better wind performance.

What primer are you running with this load, CCI-450's?

I tried some 60 bt's this weekend in my Savage 12fv 22-250 12 twist. 34 Varget and a CCI 200 at 2.350" oal was a one hole five shot group at 100 yards off of my less than perfectly solid fold out bench. I called it good and loaded up 50 to hunt with. This load is around 3525 fps and the max in Nosler's online data. I can't find a reason to shoot anything else.

I have wanted to try the 60g NBT but have been afraid to because I have read so much on the internet about the 22-250 not having a twist fast enough to stabilize anything over 55 grains. My 22-250 is an inexpensive Ruger American that shoots really good groups. It has a 1/10 twist. Why would this not stabilize 60-65g bullets?

I have some H4350 and some IMR 4350. I was thinking about trying one of them with the 55g SGKs that I have. I have tried Varget but was disappointed in the lack of velocity (which I thought was odd). I got VERY good velocity with a warm load of H380 but I have read that it is very temperature sensitive (even more than most other ball powders).
