Has anyone noticed the drop in cost of ammo.

I have been seeing prices drop on line.
Looks like everyone has 22's. even starting to see shorts.
Saw a name brand 9mm for under $12 for a 50 round box.
They are even having sales.
How is your area doing?

I purchase my ammo from online retailers, have a standard list that I check once a week or so. I am too far away from any reasonable retailer so online is the way to go for me. Without a doubt ammo prices have dropped and availability has risen.
I use ammo cost/availability as an indicator of the economy and emotional state of the country. I am hoping this indicator tells the real story of how the country feels as a whole rather than what the BS news media tells us.
I am seeing cost down to where it was 10 years ago, I would have never guessed that would happen. Now the key is to stock up if you can to avoid the anxiety for when the craziness kicks in again.

I just got an email from Cheaper than Dirt Winchester 9mm/115gr 50 round box $9.49
By 10 boxes and get $10 back That is 500 rounds for $84.90

Same same her. Prices are down and 22 ammo is getting better. The SHORTS are a bit expensive but I don't shoot a lot of those though that may change in the near future. 22 Aquila, Mexican Super-X, is abundant and around $26.00 a brick. Not like the case I have in reserve for $7.00/brick but OK..LOL

Local store had bricks of .22 lr for $20 a brick so I picked up a couple. Bought two boxes of .17 HMR for $8 each. 9mm ball was on sale for $8 a box of 50 as well. They had more deals than that too. Even guns were on sale. Happy days are here again.

I shoot a lot of .22 Long Rifle and have really enjoyed being able to pick up a brick of .22's at reasonable prices again. More winning!

In my a area I can buy 100 rounds of federal brass 9mm for $19, and 17 hmr has dropped to about $12/50. Also win super x loaded with the power points was $14 a box of 20 for a few calibers. Good time to stock up!

The only loaded ammo I buy is pistol and 22LR so I can't say one way or another. But I did get 4 bricks of CCI SV for under $100 shipped from Brownell's a few months ago.

If we do not ALL get out and vote this November, the craziness
will come back sooner rather than later. Even if your Republican
candidate is a skunk, a Republican Congress will allow freedoms
far and above any dimacrat House or Senate. The Repubs need to
keep BOTH!

BHO may have been the best gun salesman ever, but the ammo and
reloading supplies sure dried up.

I priced some brass a while back for a couple of rifles. I needed it and almost hit the go button before I looked around much. I found good loaded ammo for less than the price of the bullets and brass.

Saw same thing year or two before with 17HH. I caught loaded ammo way cheaper than just the bullets and brass as components.

Midway had CCI standard early this year cheaper than I paid a dozen years ago or more, thought I got a good deal then to boot.
