My experiences are different. I have a Sako 75 Hunter in .223 and love the fixed ejector, the short action, and the low bolt throw. It is, BY FAR, the smoothest feeding and fastest bolt gun I have ever experienced. Accurate follow up shots don't take much longer than a semi-auto. The feeding is so smooth that I actually can't tell if the mag has cartridges in or not when working the bolt. My older 30-06 Sako is similar. In contrast, my Remington Model 7 requires MUCH more effort to move the bolt forward on a full magazine in contrast to an empty one. I also love my Sako 75 because it seems to throw everything I feed it to the same point of aim at 100 yards (from light BlueDot loads to full house stuff).
