Have you ever broken a housing contract?

Go talk to a lawyer.

I am also reading that you are trying to make this personal and trying to gather people to support your views.

That is a good way to end up in court on the criminal side or hospital.

You need to understand that you are dealing with someone that is making threats (based on what you are saying) and gathering a posse (in your words) to have him removed.

Either you want to leave for your own saftey, or not, but trying to have someone else that isn't stable kicked out, and your upset for others not wanting to do so.
This is a loosing situtation and creating drama with someone that has a gun and doesn't sound stable.
Get the lawyer to review your agreement and draft a demand letter to let you out. Move on and don't get sucked into the drama. It does you no good, and proves nothing. No one cares, and you won't care in a year. I have lost to many friends for stupid reasons in life.

I have a friend that just died two months ago. Why? Well he was 32 years old and two kids under 4. He had a mail order bride from Romania that he loved more than anything.. He found out that she had an affair after he burried himself in work and ignored her. There were a host of things he could have done. But he chose to go confront the guy, at his house. The end result was that he was in the guys house, the report says he pulled a knife and the guy pulled his gun and shot him. Some argue about the details but the end result is that he is dead, and didn't need to be.

I ask myself daily if my choices are in my best interest, or just emotional. I suggest you do the same.
