HAWKE OPTICS WOW!!!

I had asked about there stuff before, and it didn't seem many heard of it. I guess I'm both lucky, and spoiled. My son in law has a small gun shop in Montana. And sent me down a pair of 10x43 Sapphire ED and a pair of 8x43 Sapphire ED binos to demo. Put them on tripods side by side with some respectable glass. And all I can say is WOW!!!!! Some real slap in the face clarity difference. Just thought I would let others know ya can get some pretty bad [beeep] glass with out breaking the bank. They also make scopes and spotters all though the glass is fantastic we haven't spun the turrets on the scopes enough to test them thoroughly yet.

Take care, Willie

I can speak for a Hawke scope I had and it was junk IMO. The internal guts broke loose on the 3rd shot mounted on a .220 swift. I am glad the binos are what you say though.

I personally really could care less if anyone buys their products. Just passing the information that I saw with my own eyes. And we do glass a little bit here in Arizona. But, myself and most on here know that the recoil on the swift hits like a little girl at best. Did it ever dawn on ya that it could have been defective?? They do have an unconditional guarantee on workmanship. And as far as recoil. All of there scopes are air gun approved, but I'm sure all scopes can make that claim. After all any scope can handle a cheesy air gun.

They look a lot like Zen Rays. If that's the case they're probably made in the same Chinese plant, which has surprisingly good glass for Chinese optics. I don't think I'd mess with a scope from them if it's also Chinese.

I have been using their Eclipse 30 model now for a little over a year on a WSSM AR platform.
I have been pleasantly impressed overall with this scope. It's clarity is good, focuses well and
the major reason I picked it up was the way it's crosshairs illuminated for night hunting. Just the center dot lights up. I have the mildot reticle and it holds zero very well. I know its not a NF or Swar or Zeiss but my pocket book knows it also. And here in WI its our distance shooting is limited in most cases to 300yds and less. Just my $.02.

Its pretty obvious it was a defective scope from the get go if the internals let loose w/a swifts recoil. No issue returning it BUT that also wont have me buying any of their products. There are those who have no problems like above, then others that do, just the way things go no matter the brands.

Had one that came on a 17hmr in 3-9 with mildot. It was ok but took it off and put it on a farmer friends 243 because his old scope would not hold zero and that was all I had at the time. Sighted it in and it has worked good for what he has used it for. He carries it in the tractor in the fall through the winter and has shot a couple coyotes with it and a couple cows that needed to be put down.

I have bought 2 of there scopes now one is on my 22 hornet and the other is on my 308 I have had zero issues with them and the glass is [beeep] good for the price

Well... I'm the exception here. I have 3 Hawke scopes and love them. I wrote up a pretty lengthy review but it fell on deaf ears because of the perception of this brand. It's here if you want to read it.

HighPowerOptics has been an Authorized Hawke Dealer for a few years. Hawke Sidewinder scopes were upgraded several years ago. They have outstanding optical performance for their price. The resolution and image contrast are way above their price point.

The Frontier ED and Sapphire ED binoculars are truly excellent. You would have to jump up to the $1,000 price point to get a substantially better binocular. Although the optics and body design appear similar to a couple of other brands, the Hawke models have upgraded lens covers and cases. Hawke recently reduced the prices for the Frontier Ed and Sapphire ED binoculars, making them a very good deal.

We're running a special right now. The Sidewinder scopes and Frontier ED and Sapphire ED binos come with a free lens cleaning kit developed exclusively by HighPowerOptics ($15 value). Once you use our kit, you won't clean your optics any other way.

Just to chime in, I have a hawk scope on a 270 Win, 400+ shots down range with no problems yet. I have a NF 3.5-25x50 and two Zeiss scopes and you can see the difference in glass to be sure. But for the money, I am more than satisfied with my hawk scope.

If im not mistaken the top end hawke scopes are japan made. I have a discontinued frontier that is & its been trouble free for better than 4 yrs.
