this big male, died not 10 feet from where his girlfriend died a few days ago. He was sniffing the ground right near the spot where she met her demise. His fatal mistake was checking to see where she was, who she was with and why she hadn’t come home for 3 days. That’s six of them so far for me this season, and just 6 total last season. I would think it should pick up some as the snow gets deeper and their hunting gets harder. I wonder just how many there are in this area. I’ll be working on those new 204 loads tomorrow for sure, this one needed an anchor to be sure he wasn’t getting up and leaving.

Sighted in this afternoon and christened it this evening. Mounted it on my Ruger 204 AR. Shooting 40gr VMax over 24.5gr of H322 and thru a Shaw heavy stainless barrel. I am REALLY liking it! Especially since after the shot I can follow the critter with the scope. With my IR digital night vision...
