Hearing protection?

New to the board and haven't seen the topic yet on hearing protection while hunting. Due to some lack of education (young) and being "tough" I didn't always use ear plugs and now am paying the price with some hearing loss. Not a lot, at least I don't think so but very noticible.

My question is do others use hearing protection while hunting and if so what kind? I don't care for the foam while hunting and am considering some electronics now so I can hear but still have the protection when I go for the kill.

I've found some that seem decent and not to much $$$, Pro Ears - Stalker. Good? Bad?

Walker Game Ear doesn't look to provide as much protection but don't really know.

What's your thoughts? Comparable products for equal money?

Have been working with some of these to see if I can find one that works better than the others. The problem with the muff's is they distort my callin using a mouth caller. Also, some cut out or shut down when calling. So far, the ProEars seem to be working the best out of the bunch but still need to check out some others. When using my FoxPro none are problem at all. The Walker's game ear is just a one ear protection unless you have two sets but that is very expensive. Have not tried their new ear muff's yet.

For high volume shooting and also at the range, I use the Peltor Tactical 7s. I don't use ear protection when I am coyote calling. The camo ski masks don't fit over the top of the Peltors.
