Heavy .17 bullets

I have been a big fan of Todd Kindlers 30's. Great bullet for coyotes. I screwed up and shot a bunch of Prarie Dogs with them because they drift so little and are really accurate. Well Todd quit making them. I asked who he sold them too and he told me and I ordered more. Big mistake, to make a long story short, he trained a guy out of Texas by the name of Steve Bruce. No email and no voicemail. The guy is bipolar. I waited 23 days for bullets and then demanded to have my money returned. He threatened me and then seemed to settle down and said he would overnight them. Never heard from him again. No bullets but he did credit my account. If you think this is a hoax and a vendetta, please call Todd Kindler. He won't endorse him, I think he feels responsible. The only one out there at this time that has bullets is Reed's out of Oklahoma. I am going to order some tomorrow. We will see.

Sort of the same thing i read at saubier.com except noone there could get in touch with the guy. Also check on chan nagel he makes good 17 bulkets that people brag about. Also blackhole bullets sells 17 bullets. I have shot neither but guys on saibier have with good results. I believe both reeds and blackhole bullets post occasionaly over at saubier.com. thanks for the first true report on that guy.. sou ds shady

I made a mistake not mentioning black hole. They are closer to me and close to Chan Nagel. I talked to him Wednesday last week and he was having trouble getting jackets. He said "call me January or Feburary I appreciate your comment. thanks

For what it's worth, I've shot Chan's 30's and Blaine's (Blackhole Bullets) 30's. Both shot the same load to the same point of impact. I was very surprised to see that happen.
I was told that Reed's bought Chappie Gennett's bullet equipment (Genco Bullets) and those should be a great bullet also based on Genco's past.

I talked to him not long ago and he said he's still trying to work through the issue and told me to check back in January or February

Hey dan if you get some from reeds let us know some feedback on them. They have been on radar for a couple of months but was waiting till i shot up what i have

I'm shooting the discontinued 30 gr. fb match Bergers, until I run out. They work really well.
If you happen to find some of the 30 gr. boattail MEF Bergers, it's been said that they don't work too well on coyotes.

I contacted black hole and Blaine said he's doing a run of 30s in the near future and if you wanted any to let him know so he can make sure he has enough.

I would love to let you know how they are working. However a really good friend sent me some Hammlett 27.5 grainers and wants me to let him know on those. So I am obligated to kill some with those first. Really cold here and windy. I am guessing midweek before calling gets good. Hunting in the morning but it's windy and cold!!! And the moon is really bright!

Hammetts are awesome!!!! Finishing up my last stash in a new 17 tac... he doesnt live very far from me but still dont think he will make anymore..

I picked up a stash of them in 30gr a while back. Never tried them. Kinda bummed about the Golds though. I liked them a lot. But I have a few hundred of Chans bullets left. May order some more, since I have a load worked up for them. I'd trade the Hammets for Nagels is anyone is willing.
