Helicopter hog hunting

Alright I’m way out of my realm here but maybe someone can point me in the right direction. My father in law is turning 80 this coming December and possibly wants to shoot some hogs via helicopter. My wife and I would like to do something for him while he’s still able to get after it. We’re thinking Texas but not married to that plan yet.

From my research so far, I’m seeing some places that are charging around 3k for 2 hours of shooting/helicopter ride and a bunch of other non hunting activities added in. We’re not really interested in ranch tours, 4 wheeler rides, and skeet shooting.

Does anyone have any recommendations on just straight killing operations and maybe some predator hunting added in?

Try to buddy up with Jeremy! Lol… That man does it all! Wouldn’t surprise me if he’ll be the first to kill coyotes with a jet pack!

Seriously though, not sure where or how to help you otherwise. Bit if you’re considering an extra stepdad or something, I’ll volunteer! Son! :ROFLMAO:

No real help here other than I'd ask for references from whomever you're considering. ....and I'm sure you did but don't forget to check to see if guns and ammo are supplied.

@Duhhh
I know this is a older thread and you very well have may already acted on it. But it did cause me to search and I don't know if you seen this place / offering.
Disclaimer I don't know these folks, but am familiar with the area, there are some great folks down there... the advertised prices seemed fair IMO ...

the sub 3K for 2 hours flight time caught my attention..... now how much trigger time IDK, will depend upon putting the hogs on the run... just a source for your consideration.

Thanks. I found them a while back and they’re definitely one of the cheaper options for sure. We still haven’t locked down any solid plans with him yet.

Just for a abstract thought for comparison Bell 212 (twin turbine) fuel cost per hour is roughly $500 - $600.00 per hour calculating @ $5.00 a gallon (100 to 120 gals /hr)....
The UH-1 series (single turbine) 100 to 180 gals / hr so $500.00 to $900.00 per hour at $5.00 a gal.

NOT to push you to using them just a rough idea the cost of the fuel that one (helicopter) consumes. I haven't priced JP-4 (now JP-8) lately, so it could be up or down from there.
