Hellfire Review

First off I'm not sponsored by Foxpro nor am I brand loyal for any reason so take this review for what you wish.

I took my Hellfire out for it's maiden voyage this weekend during a 24 hour calling contest. I had it out previously just to check remote range and try to call in a hog but didn't really use it more than a half hour. Temps during the day were close to 70 and down around 40 at night. The first stand we made was about 2:45 in the afternoon and I set the call out about 75 yds away but there was some grass and cactus between me and it. I had to hold the remote above my head but it worked fine. But every time I let go of the lanyard I had the call on around my neck Foxbang would go off. It took a few times to realize that the remote was hitting my hand call I keep around my neck too and setting it off. I adjusted the sensitivity and things were good from there. On a positive note, the constant switching to Pup Distress called in a huge male and resulted in our first kill (I was trying to call Bobcats). After that stand I started hanging the call in a bush or tree limb and didn't have any more trouble with remote range around 100 yds; didn't try any further. The Hellfire is freakin loud too in case you were wondering. Cranking the volume to 20 is highly unecessary. I'm not sure how many total hours we called during that hunt but I'd guess well over 14 and the caller and remote were still working the same as when I put the batteries in. 3 bobcats, 2 coyotes, at least 10 foxes, and no telling how many coons thought it worked really well.

The only Con I have about the call is that the Foxbang seemed to be too sensitive but as long as it didn't bump my hand call it was fine. I'm happy with it and would recommend one.

just got mine haven't taken it out yet. what setting did you have it on that the foxbang kept going off I think I set mine to medium

I know I said in the review I adjusted it. I eventually just turned it off because we got into the foxes so heavy I didn't wanna spook them off.

And I had it on Med and then the least sensitive (Low I guess?).
