Help me spend my Bass Pro gift card

I don't normally purchase much from Bass Pro but it looks like I'm getting some gift cards from my mom. Bass Pro is the only outdoor store she knows. I'm wanting a 1x4 scope for my AR and I've narrowed it down to the Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 or the Nikon M223. Both are priced at 299 so I would have to put s little with imy gift card. The Nikon P223 is also available for a little less money. Which way should I lean? I don't use the rifle for anything special. Just shooting and maybe bust a coyote with it someday.
 
If the Nikon has the exposed turrets like the M223 DONT get it. They turn way to easy, like when casing or un casing your gun.
 
I tend to find that the Leupold scopes very user friendly. I particularly like their FX3 6x42 fixed 6 power which is a very bright scope in low light and is about as much magnification as one can hand hold without a solid rest, plus fixed power scopes tend to be extremely tough. The big advantage that Vortex offers is their warranty is no fault - doesn't matter how it got messed up they fix it or replace it. You would probably be happy with either of the scopes you mentioned but personally I would pick the Leupold FX3 it has fairly good quality glass and is extremely bright in low light its probably one of the best choices available for a hunting optic - never on the wrong power and the one with the ballistic reticle will always be true just like a FFP scope. Other than that I would look real hard at the Zeiss scopes and consider adding $ to get there. I only have one scope that is a 1-4x its a Trijicon Accupoint and I like a lot it but its not in the same general price range.
