Help with 7-08 load?

Reloader 17 IMR4350.....reloader 15 for light bullets 100/120 the it gets good again with the 162 Amax. I love the Speer boattails in 130 and 145. Good performance on deer at longer distances with 7/08 velocities.

I would be really interested in the load that is getting you 2750 out of a 20" barrel with a 140 grain bullet. It took trying 3 different powders to get a load that would that would clock 2700+ in my 22" model 70, so far RL-17 has been the winner.

In the 7mm-08 and bullet weights 140 grains or under, it is all about Ramshot Big Game...

3,100+ with 120's and 2,900+ with 140's pretty easily with great accuracy and clean burn in Tikka's and 700's with 22" tubes...

I am the odd ball here, my family and friends shoot the Speer 130g BTSP with 42-43g of IMR 4895 with a rem 9 1/2 primer in a Rem case. This is the best deer killing load we found out of a 7/08, and here in the South, if a deer runs very far, you will never find them.

We have killed deer to 325 yards with this load, and everyone and I mean everyone that has tried it on Whitetails has never wanted to try another bullet.

Velocity is great on this load, can't remember exactly...jeez, this load hammers deer like a 300 Winchester.

I wouldn't worry about a 7mm 08 pushing a 140 bt too fast for close range shots! I use the 140 bt in my 270 wsm at much higher velocities and have taken deer as close as 15 yards with no issues. I also shot a deer at 210 yards with the same combo. The results from both situations were the same...a dead deer.
