Help with a threading ?

I've gotten opposite responses from several well known gunsmiths and need more opinions. I have 3 barrels (.243, .270, and 30-30) that are too thin for 5/8x24 threads for my .30 cal suppressor. Is it better to chop them back to get 9/16x24 threads or can I have them done 1/2x28 so I don't have to buy any brake mounts and can swap it easier with my .223 ARs? Is 1/2x28 too thin on the larger cals or is it fine? One smith said they don't recommend it, the others said they do it regularly even up to 300 Win Mag. Before I send my rifles off, I'd like to hear more opinions.

I'd contact the manufacture of suppressor you're using and ask them what they recommend for the particular can you have before I listened to anyone else.

I've had questions regarding my TBAC and SAS cans and both companies either answered my question/s over the phone or quickly responded to my email.
 
I'm looking for what is the max recommended caliber for each thread size. I understand barrel contour/thread specs. Is the material between the rifling in the bore and bottom of1/2x28 threads thick enough to handle the pressures of .243, .270, and 30-30? The one smith said 6.5/.264 is the biggest they'll go.

I had a .20-250 barrel threaded at LRI a couple months ago. Happy with the work. Look at the bottom of this page, he talks about minimum wall thickness between bore diameter and suppressor thread root. He likes a minimum of .100 wall thickness, more for boomers.

I'll call some more smiths/manufacturers, but does anyone else have experience/knowledge on the topic? Is 1/2x28 still safe on the bigger cals?

Had my 308 A-bolt threaded in 1/2x28, also had the gunsmith cut it back to 18", and have put a couple hundred supersonic rounds through it,
mostly with a heavy muzzle break, with no issues. fwiw...
