Help With the Fx5

I have a bunch of sounds that were given to me by a generous man and i can download into the fx5 but they will not show up on the caller i tried unzipping files by the program that fox pro gives you and also another program. Now the caller will play them but the tx 200 will not show them Way??? please any suggestions
 
Question one would be did yout transfer the sounds to the remote? If not, that's the problem. Just follow the directions for transfering the sounds onto the TX200 and you should be all set. If that isn't the problem, plug the FX5 into your computer with the USB cable and check the numbering of the sounds on the FX5. If they're all on the FX5 and numbered 000, 001, 002...etc..there shouldn't be any problems. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, but it sounded like you have them on the FX5 and they play, but you cannot change them from the remote.
 
Does your TX200 update with any of the sounds in the FX5? If so, then there's something strange with the way the sounds are being read by the TX200 from the FX5. What file format are these sounds that it won't load (MP3, .WAV, FXP)? It really shouldn't matter, but it sounds strange and you might want to give FoxPro a jingle Monday. You'll never look back at the 416 once you get your FX5 working right.
 
Are you renaming the sounds that you are trying to load? You might need to. I know that if I don't rename my Randy Anderson sounds they won't show up on the TX200 but you can still select the number and play it.

Also, make sure all your files that you want to load onto the FX5 are in the same folder.
 
Yes it was a typo sorry about that ... and all files in the same folder... still not working ... now all i am getting is

Try manually renaming the sounds on the FX5 unit, rather than use the Software. Just name them 000 Sound.FXP 001 Sound2.FXP....etc for the time being. Then try reloading them onto the TX200 and see if they go over then. If you're still getting the 2n2n2n2n2n2n issue, it might be a hardware problem with the remote. Seems odd though that it'll pick up some of the sounds, but not the FXPs. Make sure that the FXP files actually have the .FXP on the name rather than the MP3 and .WAV files, which don't require the actual extension on them.
 
Yea i really thank you for all the help but that is not working either... may be the files are corrupted or something some are good and some are bad i do not know

Is there any place that you can download sounds besides foxpro i am looking for dennis kirk and jhonny Stewart
maybe if i try ones that i know are good and not tampered with it might work
 
You probably aren't going to find Dennis Kirk or JS sounds anywhere for free online. Try going to

for a bunch of free sounds though. If they're playing on the FX5, then the sounds are just fine. It sounds like it could be something with the remote, but still strange that other sounds are going onto the TX200 just fine. So it's just those FXP files that are giving you a tough time? Do the original FXP files that came with your FX5 work? Might want to call FoxPro on monday morning to see what's going on.
