Henry Mini Bolt problem

I bought my son a henry mini bolt a while back an we love it. It's very accurate and simple to use. We had an issue with ammo not fitting in the chamber initially. We sent it the henry and they fixed it.

Now, we are having a problem with ammo not extracting. Unfired ammo extracts fine but once fired the case expands tightly into the chamber. I have to extract it with a small screwdriver. I have vigorously cleaned the chamber. We fire mostly remington golden bullet and occasionally cci stingers.

Is there ammo that would work better? I read in one forum that using subs might help. Is there anything I can do short of sending is back again?

I have a mini-bolt that gets shot a lot with no problems. I have had the golden bullet give me extraction problems in a few other guns. I won,t buy them any more. They are real dirty.

Is it just the stingers that won't extract. It is a common problem with Stingers and some chambers. If you look at a stinger they have a longer case than standard .22 long rifles and can get stuck.

Mostly the golden bullets. I contacted Henry. They said none of the common ammo should be a problem. I'm going to have to send it back. Darn. Great little rifle otherwise. My son took a jackrabbit at about 50 yards in pre-dawn light.

That's the nice thing about Henry. Their customer service is very good and they stand by their product.
