Hiking/hunting boots

My feet are rather odd shaped. Arches very high almost impossible to get on a pull on boot unless I put an arch stretcher in them. My heels are narrow. I wore Vasque Sundowners in women's size 11 and have a pair of Merrill women's size 11 hikers now. I have two pair of Asolo mens work boots and a pair of Meindel boots.

You have to find boots that are comfortable, I used to buy at REI, they had a great selection, experienced boot fitters and ramps and stairs to test them on. For late fall early winter hunting out of my canoe I wore Danner Fort Lewis boots high waterproof breathable boots that let me get in and out of the canoe in shallow water and still hunting country inaccessable to truck hunters, they kept my feet warm and dry yet were comfortable and supportive to hike in.

Boots are really a personal choice.

I don't care for muck boots for hunting, to me they are like waders without the tops, clumsy with little support

I'm not a big fan of REI, but my wife loves them for their 1 year return policy - no questions asked-includes shoes/boots.
Must be a member, but that is a one time fee( $35 ?)
She got her Hokas there, already returned one pair for a better fit.
