Just the hammer, Power Custom and Volquartsen will give you the same result (I have one of each). If you spend a bit more and get the Power Custom hammer and the adjustable sear (with the set screw tapped through it), you'll be able to adjust out the take-up and have a really nice rig.

That set has the hammer/sear lapped to each other, not sure if that's even important though.

Keep all the stock Ruger springs in the trigger assembly and set the ones that come with the set aside as spares.

I was going to go with the Power Customs. I already stoned and lapped the sear so it is smooth. I will drill and tap the trigger also so I can set the over travel. Also the auto bolt release is a good idea. It really makes charging alot easier. I ground mine myself but if you are ordering the hammer, it's easier to buy one. They dont cost much and it is a nice addition. It's a pain to do it yourself and get it right. I would just buy one if I had to do it over.
Plus I am making a custom cap for the bolt charging handle just for some cool factor. Maybe antler or cowhorn

Hmmm. If you have a picture to reference, it's about a 10 minute job with a small half-round file (and less with a Dremel).

The secret is, you need a slight arch in the top after that "tooth" is removed.

Rimfirecentral has a good pic if you're a DIY guy.

What kind of stones do you use for theis trigger job? I have heard of people using stones but never seen one nor do i know where to find one.
