I have an iphone that is not compatible with the hogster app for doing videos. What device do I need to use video on the super hogster. Other than an android phone. Not real tech savvy here. Thanks

You could get a cheap android tablet like a samsung is what i use. Or you can buy a used cellphone that runs android.
I have a samsung note 10 and it worked great the other night. Also have a samsung galaxy tab and it works there as well.
Sometimes dollar generals if available in your area sell cheap tablets like an ipad that run android.. hope that helped some

Another option If you want to download the videos, you can connect it directly to your computer via the USB C cable, and it pops up as a drive on your PC. You then copy them to your computer. This is a much, much faster process than using an android device if you simply want to watch the videos.

If anyone already has an Amazon Fire tablet, they should work as well. You need to get Googe Play on the Fire tablet, and then you can load android apps including the Super Hogster app. The Fire tablets can be a really inexpensive way to run Android apps. This is not officially supported anywhere, but it works for me.

Yes, as my last post stated when you connect the Super Hogster to a computer and you turn it on, it becomes a drive on your computer. You then can copy the files directly to your computer. Each video file will be a .mp4 file. Once on your computer you can share it in whatever computer program/app you want to share it but it would be on the computer not the phone. For instance, if you have some facebook friends you would open Facebook on your computer, and share the video you downloaded.

Pros of using a computer:
1) Much faster download
2) You keep keep a permanent copy or copies of the videos
3) Quickly delete the files on the scope to clear up memory

Pros of using Super Hogster app on Android:
1) Immediate access to files
2) Easy to share with friends on Android apps

For all the videos I have done on Predator Masters, none were downloaded via Android, although I have an Android device. I use the Android only if I want to remotely view my scope or I want to update the date/time.

For those that like technology, you could give this a try on an iPhone or other device. You can connect virtually any device to the Super Hogster. Go to your wireless connection, and select the available Hogster wireless network as long as you have Wireless turned on in the Hogster Menu. Password is 12345678. From this device, you can open a browser and go to ftp://192.168.11.123 and you will see the folders and files on the scope.

For an iPhone specifically:

1) Install program FE File Explorer from App Store (free version should work)

2) Connect to the Hogster Wireless Network on the iphone

3) Launch FE File Explorer, click + and then click FTP, and you should see an option at the bottom that says Network Neighborhood. It shows 192.168.11.123. Select it and choose Guest (this is the Super Hogster).

4) You can see the folders and files on your Super Hogster. You can view the videos. You can click on the 3 periods on the right of a video, and save Copy To - Camera Roll.

5) Disconnect from the Hogster network, and the video or videos chosen will be in your camera roll.

6) Use your favorite app and share your video from your camera roll.

This is something I found with experimenting. This is not officially supported by Bering Optics, Night Goggles, etc. This is just one way this could be accomplished using the technology Bering has provided.

Awesome. Thanks for the info guys. I should be able to figure something out now. Or I’ll have the wife show me anyway. Lol
