Hold on to your cash!! Foxpros replacements for the Firestorm and the Fury?

BassPro has a couple nice youtube videos of a new FoxPro Crossfire (sug. Retail 431.00) with 75 sounds and the TX505. The Fusion (sug. Retail 499.00) looks like the heir apparent to Fury2, 100 sounds and the TX1000 remote. With both using either the TX505 or TX1000 looks like Foxpro is moving more calls to FHSS to help with remote distance complaints. It will be interesting to see where pricing on the firestorm and fury ends up over the next couple months to fit these new callers in line.

I will have to get one of these if it really happens.

I saw @ Scheels the other day they had Fury 2 for $449 and the wildfire 2 for $169 maybe making room for new callers

I both admire and don't envy the Foxpro guys.

They have repeatedly delivered on new products, innovations, features and such to continue to grwo.

At the same time, they're in the tough position of getting customers who own their higher end calls to buy the newer higher end calls. For a lot of us, this is actually a hard sell

I mean, once you have a Fury, CS-24 or some such, unless you do this for a living or are a serious competitor in contest hunts, the new extra stuff sounds nice but likely won't make much of a difference in your results, I think.

I like the idea of putting the TX1000 remote on a lower priced caller. After having range problems with a Hellfire I started looking at the callers with better remotes and end up with a Shockwave. Had the fusion been available I would have bought it rather than starting out with a Hellfire.

Having a caller with FHSS is probably the biggest improvement in remote callers there has ever been.

For those of you that don't know, the FHSS systems with the remote and callers GREATLY increases range from remote to the caller, and doesn't need to be line of sight.

When calling before I would have to elevate my caller... (I would hang it in a tree, or place it on a bush, or fence post or something and then choose my sitting location within the stand based on where line of sight to the caller was.

FHSS is a game changer, and frees you up to more options.

I still elevate the caller when I can, because I like the way an elevated caller sounds better than one just sitting on the ground. Elevation adds range to the sounds you play without increasing volume as well.

Great!!
Just getting ready to pull the trigger on a new call...was leaning towards the Fury2....but the Fusion maybe the new direction due to the remote.

I called Bass Pro and they do not have it in there system yet.

Any idea when these new models will be on the market?

Uggh!
This is the 1st time I feel like Foxpro let me down. I called them on 11 Jan 2014 and asked them if they had any plans to release a Fury2 or equally sized unit with the TX1000 remote. I was told nothing is planned for 2014. So I bought a new Fury 2. I would've waited had I been told the correct information. I'm going to go with this person didn't know, because Ive always had such great communication with them in the past.

I just watched the video. Overall I have been happy with my Firestorm, except for the remote. I'm just tired of not being able to see it at night, which is when I hunt 90% of the time.
I am very interested in the new Fusion with the TX1000 remote. When it is released I'll probably get one and sell my Firestorm. Do you think $300.00 would be a fair price, in perfect condition?

Yes, it sucks purchasing something only to have something better come out shortly after. However, that is the case with all items (cars, TV's, cell phones, etc). No matter what you buy there will be improvements shortly there after. One cannot expect a company to provide insight to future products before their ready due to their competitive advantage in releasing it first to market without media knowledge, ability to deplete old stock, and in case they cannot deliver (example: Hunter Specialties JS Bushwacker disaster in the mid 2000's) no one was expecting it in the first place. All you can do is be certain that the model you are purchasing meets all of your needs and be happy with what you purchased and that in the future even better products will be available when you plan to upgrade (plus Foxpro's hold their value like no other when it comes time for resale). You got a great caller and it will serve you well.

That depends. When I bought my wildfire it was $300 and two months later they dropped it to $200. With these new calls coming out I look for some calls to drop in price. Firestorm and the fury are probably gonna be those ones. If you sell it now I would say yes it's a good price. But if you wait for the new ones I would think they will drop the firestorm to $300 new and the fury to $400. I may be wrong the wife says I often am.

Was in Scheels this afternoon in Des Moines, Iowa and they had NEW Firestorm callers on sale for $249.99

salesman said they bought to many

That is less then I bought mine used
