Hollywood actors + predator calling

He's not a hunter but, My cousin used to play 3rd base for the yankees so every time they came to Boston we used to get free tix and we got to meet all the yankees.

But don't get me wrong, I am a RED SOX fan!
 
I hate to show my age, but I lived just behind Marilyn Monroe and Joe Di Maggio when I was a kid growing up in a famous part of Southern California! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The best part of the story is that I intentionally threw a baseball through Joe's upstairs window in hopes that he would come out to see who did the deed. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I fessed up, told him my Dad would be glad to pay for the window, IF he signed the ball! He did, but I can't find it now. (I have a sneaking suspicion that dear old Dad kept it for himself.) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif Ha Ha!

BTW, this story is 100% TRUE!

I for got to mention Robert Redford (skied with him unfortunatley), Anthony Hopkins while he filmed his last movie, the fastest indian, and then my best day ever...SALMA HAYEK!!!! Talk about gorgeous and nice! She was awesome!

when i was 18 i was looking at the book rack at weatherbys when i hear a guy say " i don't see any of your books here jack" when i stand up i am 3 ft. from JACK O'CONNER!!! we nodded and i could not say a word!!! 5 min. after i left i was saying i should have said this or done that!! after that happened i never not talked to anybody again!! met carl reiner , redd foxx, lynn swann, sydney poitier, talked to requel welsh every day for 2 weeks when i was on jury duty (great beauty and so nice) shot trap and skeet with Bob stack and chill wills a couple of times. telly savalas and his daughter.. bunch more i can't think of right now.
 
Grandpa Fudge, you met Jack O'Conner at Weatherbys in South Gate, Wow. They may not be from Hollywood or big sports people, but I have shook hands with some famous predator callers in my life. Murray Burnham, Gerry Blair, Jim Dougherty, Major Boddicker, Bowen Weems, Gerald Stewart, Jack Cain, Steve Nordstrom, Fred Cronk, Steve Graig, Rich Cronk, Byron South, Jay Nistetter, Al Lux, Vic Carlson, John Henry, Q. Wagner and a bunch more I can't remember.
 
he was right out of the books!! hounds tooth hat , tweed shooting jacket, vest and watch fob. he looked 10 ft. tall to me1! i talked to roy weatherby later and he said they were building him another rifle but i don't remember what cal. he kidded me about being star struck. i went to that store for many years and was heart broke when the riots happened. met GS at the sports fair a couple yrs ago. super nice guy!! and hope to stop by and meet you some day!! would love to hear some club hunt storys.
 
Probably a 270 lol. What an honor to meet or even be in the same room as Jack O'Conner. Most folks would die just to meet Roy Weatherby in his day.
Living in Southern California back in the 50s and 60, we had it all at our hands. I not only meet Roy Weatherby but a few other southern Cali duds that liked to hunt. Roy Rogers, C.J McElroy and a bunch more.
Folks think everyone in California are tree huggers, far from it. God bless GF

When I was a kid I met the Beach Boys! I've also met Randy White (Dallas Cowboys), Maureen Stapleton (Edith from Archie Bunker and NOT nice), and some others that weren't major celebrities. I shook hands and had a conversation with Ice T last year! He was a really nice guy and actually wanted to talk! My favorite, and the only one that ever asked me what type of stuff I like to do was Chuck Norris. I wish we'd had more time for a conversation. I'd say he was the nicest of all the famous people I've ever met!

Of course, once Glenn's TV debut happens, then I'll be able to say he's the nicest celeb I HAVE hunted with! Still hoping for some time with our other PM celebs...maybe one day! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
