Thanks!! I can get about 1 inch of adjustability from the legs if needed by screwing them in or out.I will be making some 6"x6" 3/4 plywood pads I can also use if needed.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Means alot. Also thanks for the ideas to help make it better. I think they turned out pretty good.

About the legs a guy could make then out of PVC 3 inch with a inner tube of 2 inch PVC with holes drilled and pins with a lot of holes at different hights for adjustments for rough terrain. Yes they did turn out good looking. I also think a you could add a couple of straps on bottom to hold the leggs to table when unscrewed for storage.

That's a good idea using pvc for the legs. I might just make something like that so if my steel legs won't work, just swap out for the pvc.
I already have a carrying system made for the legs. Drilled some holes in some plexiglass and used a bungy type cord to hold them together. Also one of the legs has a handle welded on it fo carrying. The top also has a handle welded to the triangle frame for transport. Will post pics of it tomorrow. Will also take pics of the portable target holder I plan on using for the load development.

Again, thanks for all the feedback guys.

Just added pics of the portable target stand that I will be using for load development and the system I use to secure the legs for transport.

Now that is what I call a good looking shooting bench.

Three legged bench will set solid on any ground.

Three suggestions I will make.

#1. on the base where the legs slip into the leg holders drill a 7/16" hole approx 1" from the end and weld a 3/8" nut on each and put in a set screw.

If the legs slip over the stubs on the table put the set screws on the legs.

#2 Make one leg about 1-1/2 inch shorter than the other two. If setting on level ground put short leg in the rear. On uneven ground put where it is needed to make bench set level from side to side.

#3 for the plywood to keep the legs from sinking in the dirt. Double the ply wood ( glued and screwed together ) with a hole in one PC to keep the table from sliding off pads.

PVC legs will flex a little and even a little flex is not wanted.

All in all that is one nice shooting bench.

Some more good ideas DAB. I like the idea of making one leg shorter than the other for unleven ground. Also like the idea of putting a hole in the top plywood pad to secure the legs.

On suggestion #1, not sure if I understand you correctly. The legs screw into the metal frame that the plywood top is attached to. they do not slip into or over.

Again, thanks for helping me improve them. Keep the ideas coming!!

Great Looking Bench! The only thing I would see adding would be a set of straps or clamps so that you could attach the legs, when they are removed, onto the frame in a flat configuration so that they are able to be carried and/or stored all togather. I already see carry handles, maybe a shoulder strap to lug the whole thing at one time.

Thanks BLUE_CAN. I don't know if I want to carry this thing too far. Both pcs. combined will weigh close to 70 lbs.

I'm going to look into some type of strapping though and see if it will work.

I do not plan on having to carry them anymore than I have to. That 's what I have the Yamaha Grizzly for. LOL
