I did a search but, obviously, did not find anything on this subject. If there is a thread in regard to this topic, please point me to it.

If not, my question is this: what are your experiences using this bullet? I'm more curious than anything because I tend toward the heavier end of the bullet spectrum for the 17s but thought if some folks are having success with this bullet, accuracy wise, I might give them a try in my MACH IV.

They are fantastic in my 17hmr @ 2720 fps. Ten shot group 100 yards. They perform identical to 17gr Vmax on foxes and ground squirrels at that velocity. This 2025 lot is nearly 300 fps faster than my previous lot from 2023.

NTX bullets in 20, and 22 cal have all been extremely accurate for me in handloads. Availability is sometimes spotty but Hornady varmint bullets go on sale pretty regularly.

In 17 cal centerfire, they probably perform very similarly to the 20gr Vmax.

Give those little 17 cal lead free NTX bullets a try. DiRTY DOG knows what he is talking about when it comes to lead free rifle bullets.

I have had great results shooting my Rem 223 and 223 AI rifles with the 22 cal 35 gr NTX bullets at ground squirrels and coyotes.

I wish they made NTX in 6mm!
