I am shooting a 1;9 twist 16" ar in 223. suppressed if it matters. Hoping for accurate load for coyote To 300 yds. I have varget for powder and hornady varmint 60 gr sp, but can't find the right data for this combination. Any info.

Those loads seem light, but that's about par for hornady.

Hodgdon's reloading data center has 223 with a 60 gr v-max.
I believe their starting load is higher than the max posted above.
That doesn't make it safe, but you can work up to it.

I am guessing the rifle has a 5.56 chamber. If so, the pressure limit is higher. I don't see a problem with 26.0 to 27.0 grains of Varget. The shooter will likely fill the case with Varget before he is over pressure.

Varget is pretty slow for 223 in that weight class but can work. Yes a full pressure load will crush the powder when seated (especially at Mag length). You will likely be giving up velocity you could be getting.

If you can, get some Benchmark powder. Run 24.6gr with the 60 & you can thank me later
