Hornady Brass

Where does hornady brass stand in line of most factory ammo? I know this is somewhat a subjective question, but relatively, is it as good as win and rem?

I have a bout 150-200 pieces of 223 hornady brass once fired, and no longer have a 223. I own a new 22-250 and may be looking to do a swap but dont want to screw or get screwed!
 
Hornady brass is all I use for my 204 Ruger. Love it. Gives me better groups at 100 than Winchester. After a few thousand rounds it's still grouping around 1/2 inch.

Just have to find a trade that makes you happy. I like Hornady brass myself having used it in .204, .223, and 6.8SPC. IMO it is better than FC, Rem, and Win.

The weight and cut were very inconsistent. And my rifles(3)
clearly prefer SSA brass over Hornady. I won't buy it again.

The only problem that I see with my 6.8 Hornady brass is that it has a smaller volume and I see pressure signs if I use max loads developed in SSA brass. I haven't weighed my brass as I get excellent hunting accuracy and don't try to wring out the last bit of accuracy from any particular rifle or load. So I develop a hunting load that works in all my brass. The lesser pressure is undoubtedly easier on the rifle and brass. And the mixed head stamp loads in my magazine shoot better than I can hold in the field anyway. My 6.8 brass is necked to 6.5 for use in the DTI and I too prefer SSA brass to the others.

Hornady brass is as good as it gets.
I load 6.8 with it and get excellent results.
I rarely push the envelope though ... don't need to.
The accuracy that results from my 'light' loads exceeds all expectations. When I load .223 with Hornady brass they perform likewise.
The Red Dog generally wins!

If you think that Hornady brass is as good as it gets, then you have never had Norma or Lapua.

They both are light years above Hornady.

All I ever tried in my .204 is the Hornady brass. No complaints here.

Hornady is pretty good for 204 brass though, ALOT better than Winchester or Remington...
 
Hi I full length size some once fired 25/06 brass some of the brass neck crack. I wouldn't buy any new to me it at the bottom. I could use hornady 300 wby brass. But I would pay the extra and buy Norma. Or buy Remington. I have 2 22 250's one I use win and the other Remington. I have got a new 204 and was going to buy hornady until I had trouble so I am going with nosler 204 brass. Look around before u buy.
 
Have come home from range with various pieces of Hornady brass in several cartridges that I reload.
Been nothing about this Hornady brass I've reloaded that would cause me to be leery of using it.
