Hornady BTHP coyote medicine?

With a 8 twist id be using a 77gr TMK.
Ive not had anything get away from them. I use these on everything, from small critters to large hogs.

Sounds like you're hitting the shoulder bone. Maybe the 50 gr NBT has too thin jacket for that shot???? 55 gr NBT worked well for me in the .223 right behind shoulder.

If i was bounty hunting, I'd just use the 25-06.

223 is more than sufficient for coyotes but if I was hunting for a $100 bounty or contests, id be using more horse power.

I shot nothing but 55gr NBT's in several 1:8 and 1:9 twist AR's and bolt guns for coyotes, hogs and culling WT w/great results. Maybe the 50 gr NBT has lighter jacket???

I would do what I'm going to do- Midway has factory 2nd 65gr Serria SP GK'S for 13.99 a 100.
This is a dandy deer & coyote bullet. I've ordered these before & I've taken a lot of whitetails Inc. several big ones.
This bullet will not blow up on a shoulder hit coyote. You'll have 2 holes, DRT.
