When I started reloading, over 35 years ago, there was no internet, and real time advise couldn't be had. So you ended up reading the gun rags that just promote widgets and gadgets that give them advertising money.
I wish I had back all the money I've spent on these things, that ended up not being as good as they were praised in print. I bought a Lyman case trimmer, which is the same concept, and the pilots will scar the case necks if you need to turn much brass off, the brass loads up around the cutter and will end up back in the case neck.
The Wilson is simplicity in itself and doesn't use pilots. It does use a case holder that you have to buy for each cartridge (unless you have similar things like a 243 and 308), but, those other case trimmers aren't exactly cheap. You will probably break about even, but you'll have much better brass.Plus, if you get into having custom barrels installed on your guns, the smith can very simply make a case holder out of the barrel drop.
