Hornady Lock-n-Load AP

cherokee I certainly appreciate you posting that add ... I about fell out of my chair when I opened my add ... it was in another cabelas magizine a couple of day before this for 449 and I thought i would buy it then a few days later and pow 349 looks like I'm heading to roger's arkansas saturday to cabelas then on to beaver lake for some trout fishing win win.

Since your getting it so cheap, add the case feeder to it right away also. The thing works like a charm. Just a quick tip for smoother operation, I size my rifle brass on one pass thru the press then polish trim and then load it on a second pass.

So you use the loader to set the case up before loading it ... hmmmm ... I read the fine print to that add , It said cabelas has the right to limit the amount sold at any time since the closest cabelas was a three hour drive I ordered mine straight from the internet had to pay 20 dollars shipping but I got the loader and paid what the gas would cost to ship to my door and it's guaranteed that I get one I'm happy right now but will be happier when its on my porch !!!!

Set up was no problem, one thing that is a MUST, in the instructions and the online videos they really stress to clean the powder measure with the Hornady One Shot Gun Cleaner and lube to remove the packaging oil. I didn't have any so I cleaned and tried to remove it with a rag and acetone then used Hornady case lube. Long story short it didn't work, powder stuck all over it. I couldn't find any of their cleaned so I bought some Remington Gun scrubber, I haven't tried it yet after cleaning again. You will need to also rub the plastic cylinder down with a dryer anti cling sheet as well. I'll let you know. There is a DVD that comes with the press but for some reason my computer won't let me watch it, however all the set up videos are on you tube. There are 12 of them, they really explain a lot, just search Hornady AP Press setup.

Thanks for the welcome to the Big 12, Mountaineer stadium is about 30 miles from me and I am Mountaineer Proud. It may take us a couple years to get retooled to play with the big boys, but we will make it.

Pics or it didn't happen!
