Hornady Superformance in AR's???

Haven't used it in the AR, but my 7mm mag loves it and shoots under 1/2 inch at 100 yards
My AR loves the Barnes VOR-TX TSX so I doubt I experiment much with other ammo

Here's the last two three shot groups with super performance 53's. Shot out of a preditor persuit with a one in eight twist.

My buddy shoots the 22-250 superformance out of his UMAR, it cronos at 3950 if I remember correctly and shoots nickel sized groups at 100 yds. It does fold the rim back a little on extraction, which does indicate high pressure. I tried a few rounds in my UMAR and it didn't group as well in that rifle. It does come out to be 150 fps quicker than any of my hand loads so it seems to perform as advertised in this caliber.

Not the superformance, but here is a 100 yard target with the Barnes VOR-TX 55 grain TSX out of my Stag 3G.

The one round high and just left of center was the first round after boresighting. Scope adjustments were made and the next two rounds are in the Orange which is 1 5/8 inches, or just slightly larger than a silver dollar..

What??? you can't see two holes?!?!?

I couldn't either through the scope and thought the third round had somehow completely missed the target

When I walked to the target for a closer look, i saw both rounds virtually in the same hole! I decided at that point to not experiment with other ammo

I shoot the 40gr superformance through my VTR .204 and I love it. Shoots great sighted in my new conquest scope a few days ago and also went hunting. That .204 round is fast and kills em dead.

I just bought and shot a box of Superformance Match 75gr BTHP in 5.56 nato. I was using a 16" 1/7 barrel. No function issues and great accuracy. I WILL be buying more.
