how about a helmet that holds your binoculars on ?

WELL its got potential i persoanlly wouldnt use it for hunting much just because its one extra loose piece of gear and its one more thing to get in my way.

But for scouting, or for older folks watching baseball games or for like someone said above a bird watcher its got potential

You better make em auto focus or your gonna look silly reaching up to adjust the focus on your helmoculars. (The name helmoculars is a registered trademark of brownie industries any unauthorized use can and will result in legal action and financial compensation) :)

If I were to invent something like this I would use a light weight camera with 50x zoom 16 plus PM and the new video glasses that double as sun glasses. They would be very light weight and way better than carrying the old Binos around. You could also build other systems, like GPS in them, or any heads up application. I'm betting you could fit it all in a regular hunting cap.

wearing a brain bucket isnt very comfortable.ive wore them in the OD and on my motorcycle.you try it for a couple days it aint fun.

Have you ever worn one? I'm guessing no; if you had you'd realize that the weight of the helmet+optics gives you a headach quickly ([beeep], the helmet alone will do it. Trust me, I've been wearing an ACH daily for the last 4months, and it sucks.

You might try a short bipod, that rests against your chest, and can be quickly folded.
