I purposely throw my charges from the dispenser to the pan about a grain short and trickle the last grain with the pan on the scale. I've found that every round will be dead on same weight instead of hoping the dispenser is accurate. I still weigh with a 5-0-5 balance beam also. I tried digital, too flaky for me. Sure it takes a long time to load 50 rounds my way, but they are all exactly the same without question.
ARCorey and I have the exact same method. It must be OCD because I know that what Jack said is most likely true, that withing 2 tenths is not that big of a deal. But by trickling every round to the perfect weight with the Hornady scale I really find some confidence when it really counts. But if I am loading 100 or more rounds it gets old measuring every one so wonder about how to make it more consistant. Like I said it is OCD on my part(and maybe Corey's as well) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I have loaded 1500 rounds plus and it is still pretty variable in what I get out of the dang thing sometimes.
