I’ve been shooting the 75 grain ELDM’s through my 16” 22ARC, much more killing power than the 223 and FAR less wind deflection when you start getting out past 200 yards. If you’re looking for more confidence on those 200 yard plus shots the 22ARC is just the ticket. But I’ll say invest in a good barrel or that extra range is useless, I’d look at an Odin or proof barrel.Thinking of putting together a 22 Arc.
I have a spare lower sitting in the safe that the wife got me for Christmas as a stocking stuffer.
I have a 6 Arc and a 223 now. But thought about doing a 22 Arc next but not sure if I’ll really see any gain over the 223
what are you using for a magazine in your 22ARCI’ve been shooting the 75 grain ELDM’s through my 16” 22ARC, much more killing power than the 223 and FAR less wind deflection when you start getting out past 200 yards. I think one is a cut barrel and the other button pulled. Reviews seem to be positive.Any thoughts on the Satern/Liberty barrels? Barrels with their bolt...sayin 1moa guarantee....not sure how much weight that holds
Exactly Liberty is button pulled, While Satern is a single point cut. Steve does a pretty good job having shot a lot of High power.I think one is a cut barrel and the other button pulled. Reviews seem to be positive.
I'm thinking that getting an AR to shoot MOA (or better) is about as good as it gets. There are exceptions though.Did some work. The bullet I wanted to use wasn't very good. Switched to ELD-VT, and shooting much better. Two prospective loads are at MOA or better. More to follow after this weekend.
I agree. I have bolt guns that shoot bugholes and my AR's are just Meh! But trying to get them to shoot better is what we do.I know it should be acceptable, especially when using a thermal, but hard to be 'happy' with it compared to bolt guns. haha
In all fairness to AR's I personally can't shoot them as well as I can my bolt guns so I always take that into consideration when comparing how well my AR's shoot.I agree. I have bolt guns that shoot bugholes and my AR's are just Meh! But trying to get them to shoot better is what we do.
