How do i know my Shockwave batteries are charging

buy a cheap volt meter from harbor freight, walmart or radio shack.

The only battery "meter" on it that you will see is when its turned on and the bar shows on the base unit. It shows full to low & that's it, not when plugged to a charging unit.
I put mine on a timer when I get home after calling for 1-2 hrs max, open the back door as they get pretty warm and the unit wont turn on until they cool down.

Here is what i did, I left the caller on all night at the lowest sound setting and let it run.
I was very surprised to see that it ran 12 hours and was only down to 1/2 battery level on the shockwave.
I then plugged in the 12v wall charger and it brought the batteries back up to full.
Mystery solved!
This is one of a few things i can see where Foxpro can upgrade their systems at a very low cost.
