How does a thunderstorm effect coyote behavior?

I have not been out hunting coyotes in a month! That is a record for me. Every weekend I have had open has been windy in Southern California.

So, I was planning a trip for tomorrow. I even have all my gear packed. I log onto the NOAA weather site:

"A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. Breezy, with a northwest wind 14 to 17 mph increasing to between 23 and 26 mph. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph."

Perfect for duck hunting. Not ideal for coyotes. My odds of getting one tomorrow if I stay home are 0.00%.

Does anyone have experience hunting coyotes in a thunderstorm?
 
Thunder an lightning well trun a coyote off faster then a bullet, add a bad wind and it's all over....Real good advice by soreloser, just stay home.

I've been out after dark serveral times with wind shifting, lightining and thunder rolling in the distance,(typical springtime showers) and still had coyotes come in /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif.. It wasn't raining at the time but it was fixing to..
Maybe Texas weather affects them differently /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Droopyfur2, nothing holds true in this sport 100% of the time. Anything can happen and usually does. But overall most any animal including coyotes don't like thunder and lightning. I've had more then one good hunt shut down of by lightning. But that sure don't mean it's impossible to do.

I'm sure you got the same kind of coyotes we have in New Mexico, Arizona, California and Nevada, they just talk a little different is all lol.
