How does this Burris scope stack up ?

I have a fullfield II 4.5x14 that I caught on sale at Sportsmans Warehouse for like $239. For the price I got it for it is a great value, for $345 I would say it is only an OK value.
 
burris is a great scope for the money, anyway you slice it...I am in love with the ballistic plex.

you will also love that cz 527, I have one in 223 topped with a burris 3x9 and I am getting 3 in. and under at 250 yds.
 
i have a fullfield II 2.5. i initially really liked it, and still like some parts of it, really like the reticle, really clear and bright, but after hunting with it, i'm not so happy with the eye relief. it just isn't as fast to get the picture i need as my leupold is. i'm thinking i'll be replacing it with a vxI in 2-7.

pretty good for the money, though paid $125 for it, USA made, and i was told the manufacture of them has now been moved overseas.
 
I have one of their high end scopes on my AR, good quality glass, has posi-Lock important for AR's, and ballistic plex. If you order one, the turret target knobs can be had on most scopes, but it is a factory installation only.

I have a FFII 3-9x40 that I had to send back b/c the scope wouldn't hold a zero...All along I thought it was the gun (CZ550). I will give credit to Burris though...I shipped off to Greeley, CO to be fixed and had it back within a week. It was some very fast turnaround.

Also forgot to mention, the scope is OK for the money but would go the Nikon route before I go the Burris route next time. The Burris Compact I have on my CZ452 American is horrible at best.

The Burris FF2 is one of the best scope you can purchase for the money and much better than some much more expensive brands. Buy the Burris with the Ballistic Plex and don't look back. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
I guess I'll be the bad guy. I had a bad run in with Burris customer service on a friends scope. My buddy brought his gun and new scope over for me mount, work up a load and sight in and I could hardly see the fuzzy 100 yrd target. Tried to focus the eyepiece and objective and could not get focus. Well he needed it for a hunt in 3 weeks so I called Burris to see if they could have it back in time, they said no problem. Well ended up pulling my Leupold off and mounting on his gun as his scope didn't arrive till 2 days after he left. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif I now would buy a high end Bushnell over a Burris. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif That is my experience and opinion of Burris. I have the Burris ff 3-9 blpx on a cz american in 204.
It is my favorite calling rifle at this time, light and easy to carry.
Running 35 bergers at 3850. With a 200yd zero the second crosshair is right on at 300, at 400 the bullet impact is somewhere around 2" high using the third crosshair.
I havn't had a problem with eye relief and brightness seems to be good for this price range. 9 power is about all I can handle under field conditions. Much more and I have to have a very solid rest.
Longest shot with this combo has been about 250. The 35 is running low on energy/Sierra ballistic program, for coyotes much past 300.
Shoulder blade hits dropem in their tracks. broadside lung hits produce short runners but no exits. Some very close(10yds) frontal shots also drop in their tracks and have had no bullet splash or exits.
