I'm with you borkon I think the highest I've shot a deer is 11ft. But then again there isn't too many trees around here that high except cottonwoods and I don't personally care to hunt from cottonwoods if there is other options for trees.
I don't like to go high but where I hunt the trees tend to grow tall and lean with little in the way of limbs down low for concealment.They're in a race to stay near the top for the sunlight.
