How many of you are using AI for hobbies and other things?

I am slow with technology.... But I found chat gpt.com a few months ago.

If you ask a question to chatgpt, it will search every youtube video, every internet article, and every forum in a matter of 1 second, and produce very, very solid and accurate information in a tier fashion.

My family members have shown me AI helps with continuing to build our family tree. My Cousin told me AI can scan endless old documents in no time and produce amazing results.

I use AI sparingly for some artwork manipulation for my fishing reel making hobby, images and so on for laser work.

I guess I don't use it. If I knew what it was I might. I can't even post pictures here and been on PM forever. And don't tell me how easy it is.
I won't tell you how easy it is, but I will tell you that the process is completely different than it was on our last platform. You post directly now, basically drag and drop, and no longer have to host the picture third-party.

When I got my first divorce we divided up the house she took the stuff that ran on electricity and I took the stuff that didn't and moved into a tent for three years. She got the stereo I took the crank victrola, she got the electric lamps, I took the kerosene lamps, she took the new pickup(and payments), I took the Percheron and the skidding gear it was a fair split.

I use it more often than I expected, it adds more levels of info than a simple www search (google, brave, etc).
Plus it makes relevant suggestions that may not have occurred to me, ever.
Still, view it as fallible, never will know what it doesn't know.. or how accurate it is on any given subject.
My son & g-son use it a lot, they even have the "plus" version. Could it be a generational thing ?

My opinion is it is growing better with time, currently somewhere between a smart high schooler and a college freshman..

40% of US office workers used AI at least a couple times a year most recently, that's up from 20% in 2023.
( saw this on FOX news this AM.)

Just read: "OpenAI is now fighting a court order to preserve all ChatGPT user data .....
after news organizations suing over copyright claims accused the AI company of destroying evidence."
link to article

They were previously deleting our info when we deleted it, but now the court requires them to keep it anyway.
That's a no-no for me. I want my stuff deleted when I say so.
There are other just as good AI apps, like Google's Gemini, its is one I'm trying now.

Also, AI is way more than a search engine looking for matches.
For instance: ask ChatGPT or Gemini somethin like "which is better for a senior male, asprin or advil ?" then look at the response.
You'll see its way more than just a matchy-matchy.
