How often to hunt a stand.

2 to 5 times from October through March. Many times I have called in coyotes just one day after not calling any in on that stand just one day before.

I don't plan on calling the same stands or country two days in a row but sometimes traveling to fresh country it's hard to pass up a great stand if it is on the way to some great fresh stands.

I am fortunate to have several different locations to hunt, from 45 acres to 1800 acres in size. I try to rotate around so as to not put too much pressure on any one location. If I don't fire a round I will come back sooner if there is coyote activity.

For me it all depends on how long I'm going to hunt an area. If I'm spending a week in an area we might hit the same stand if it really looks good three times, but then I might not be back for years. I like to take trips and hunt different states. I always have a license for the adjoining state so I can meet my nephew halfway for a week of hunting and camping.

Like DR I have a lot of public land, 10,000 square miles within an hours drive any direction from the house. I rarely hit the same stand twice in a year. I enjoy cold calling new ground.

You can mix up sounds and approaches to the same piece of property, you can increase the size of the property by calling the fringes but wait till they cross on to your ground.

Rarely more than once a year anymore. Public land though. So, lots to choose from. But also anyone and everyone else calls the same places I do.

Back East here most properties are small in my area. According to the USDA the average farm size in PA is 144ac., in my Co. it is 158. Average rural land parcel is 15+ acres here in Greene Co.. There is 13,000+ acres of State Game Lands and more than that of coal/gas company land that some of is open to hunting. And over 60% of my ground is wooded according to USDA and I think that is a low estimate--almost no crops other than hay.
I mainly hunt my County plus the one N of me and have just at 150 permissions--only a few of them are exclusive. I try not to hit a place within 2-3 weeks of my last time BUT might go back the next night sometimes OR later the same night if "respondents" didn't "play" on the first visit or I killed 1 of a pr..
And as said, I know I am not the only one hunting most of these places.

Out here in the wide open West, I've called from the same stand, or very close to it, on the same day and had action on the second try.

Coyotes do travel quite a bit out here, and if nobody was home earlier in the day, perhaps one just moved into the area since my first attempt.

I've hit the same spots twice in one night.
...two consecutive nights.
...two consecutive weeks.
...even 3 consecutive weeks.
If I kill everything called in(with coyotes nearby)or leave the spot "undetected " but know they are there.

Like many have already said… It depends. In a nutshell, for me, it’s much like has already been stated. I’ll go back soon if nothing shows up, if responders never came in and kept their distance, if I killed one of a pair etc. If I totally booger up a spot, get busted or miss… I’ll give it a decent amount of time before going back. I’ll then try to setup differently and use different sounds.

Mostly smaller properties here, so it can be challenging to setup where they can’t get around you and bust you from a property that cannot be accessed. Many of these spots rely on a very specific wind direction to even attempt a setup. I don’t press my luck on such properties.
