GC,To answer your question,no. The coyote population is probably less now do to all the cursed wolves.The red fox here are very elusive.I use to trap alot of them,while rarely ever seeing one not in a trap.I have called in many a red in N.W. mn. and N.D. but have never called in a red here exept 2 at night that I didnt get.I figured the fox were afraid of getting killed by a coyote.I have had them torn to shreds by coyotes in traps.Coyotes are much harder to call here now because of wolves for the same reason.Ive had years I have seen more wolves than coyotes.Did I say I hate wolves,Cause I hate wolves.Gray fox can climb trees so have a big advantage,Plus they are one tough nasty tempered fox.Dont be fooled by thier sweet look.
