I've been messing around trying my hand at building a few calls. I'm starting to learn a few things, and this morning I dug into a horn in my garage to build a one piece howler. This one really turned out well. The pics don't do it justice. Really nice color to it, and it sounds great.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Tony, I've made a few calls, given a few out have kept a few and have since gotten a bit of feedback. It seems with each new call I build I learn a bit that makes the next a litter better sounding or a little easier to work. The reason I posted this one is I thought the horn had some really nice color (I still have the matching other side) and I was able to apply what I have learned to the toneboard. This one is super easy to blow and sounds great. I'm gonna have to keep this one.
 
I don't blame you for keeping that one. It looks like a keeper. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif Unfortunately, my lanyards look like the 'mechanics car' or the 'scratch and dent sale'. Full of things that I was too embarrassed to post. There's been many calls and howlers over the years that I wish I would have kept. Cherish that howler.
