HS Precision -vs- Bell and Carlson??

I am looking at getting a replacement stock for a Rem 700 short action sporter barrel rifle.

What are the big differences between the HS precision Pro Series 2000 stocks and the Bell and Carlson Medalist Stocks?

Thanks

I can only speak for the HS...I have a Tactical model on my 700 SPS that is really solid and accurate...The action fits tight and I have found no flex in it with a variety of shooting positions...

I have 2 B&C stocks. They seem well made and I can't complain. Can't say much about H-S as I don't own one.

Only complaint I would have with H-S is the palm swell. I can't stand to have that on a stock and they seem to offer it alot.

I have both, and HS is better by quite a bit. But the B&C stocks I have a both lower end. They are very stiff and light and I would recommend them any day on a budget.

What does this mean, Dustin? I can't figure out what you are trying to say here. "They have a both lower end"? What does that refer to?

No so in fact.

If you just look at Remington take offs peddled on the internet you'll probably see more with palm swells than not. A palm swell stock was Remington's stock choice in many cases in recent years. But, in fact, if you browse the H-S line-up directly, they offer a bunch of options - just about anything you could or might want - without palm swells, both for sporting weight barrels and for heavy barrels.

I'd take an H-S any day as my first choice. Without a palm swell.

Me too.

I took it to mean that the B&C stocks he has are not the top of their line, or their less expensive stocks.
