Have you ever ran into or seen one of those huge crow roost? Where they just keep flying in a black tunnel out of the roost or back into the roost?

Let me know what you have seen.

Thanks

Hammer,
About the closest I have ever seen was going into the Gander Mountain store in N. Little Rock one evening. My wife and I got out of the truck and she was at the front door looking back at me because crow after crow was flying over the store. I was stopped in the parking lot starting up. A reasonable estimate was there were a couple hundred headed back to their roost from the landfill a few miles down the road.

Yeah, my wife thinks I'm crazy, but all I could think was I wish I could find out where they were roosting and if there was any property a few hundred yards off their flyway I could hunt.

Do you meant something like this ?

A buddy of mine viewed something like this down by Jordan Lake in central NC.

along hwy.99 in the central valley, they roost along the hwy. in the eucalyptus trees by the 1000s. they fly a long way to get to the right trees. great to see.

I've never seen them like that but my dad told me that years ago there used to be thousands of them that roosted in trees on islands in the Snake River between Ore. & Ida. one day the farmers went in and tied dynamite in the trees then set it off at night. He said they killed thousands and there was never as many after that.

New to the site but thought I would post. Older brother and I got on a huge roost several years ago. Almost 200 shells and a forest of small pines littered with dead crows and we didn't even make a dent. They just kept coming until we ran out of shooting light. It was fun though.
