Hi everyone.
Iām a one-man coyote hunter in Eastern NY, and was wondering if anyone here is looking for some company in the field.
Iām looking for a hunting partner to pounce some WMUās and MUA s together in Eastern NY and Western CT. Not easy finding guys in this area who are dedicated to the coyote hunt. I also have ambitions to hit Stewart State forest by foot or e-bike. Iām all-in the sport.
I just started hunting in this area because itās close to home BUT itās a bit boring on my own so Iām pursuing fellowship .
The areas Iāve been hunting is all around Putnam county as far up as Lafayetteville. Last year I went out a few times and got a dog to buz me 35 yards, now Iām hooked and determined to get another chance, got myself a Baretta 1301 and a thermal reflex, and I have a .204 as well. I donāt think guys are doing this out here, itās really hard. Very challenging terrain here.
I am really challenged by these hunts out here, visibility is short, the daytime bird dog hunters and hikers shut things down and makes it even harder.
I enjoy the challenge, Iām dedicated to the sport but Iām having a hard time finding another hunter to share time with out here. Sometimes itās depressing being in the woods at night alone.
