Hunting Starlings?

I live on a farm, so naturally we have starlings. One day a whole flock landed just outside our back door, I shot twice with a 12ga, got around 25 in the 2 shots.

Many yrs ago Gramps gave me his Fox Sterlingworth 12 ga.
He told me of shooting starlings w/it. i dont recall the number he gave me but it was above the abve post.

Sounds like you guys are doing a great job. I've killed a bunch this year, doing my part to increase the survival rate of other species. I've been using my CZ 17 HM2 a lot this year. Nice and friendly around livestock and the suburbs. That and an old Savage Fox .410 double barrel. I'm after them almost every morning after feeding the cattle. Long shot a lazered 138 yards on one. That's a poke with the Mach 2. Eley ammunition.

I've just starting shooting starlings. Using a 22 pellet with suppressor. It is not very accurate, so I'm building a trap. My neighbor unintentionally brought them here by putting up a bird feeder, so now I'm fighting for the life of my bluebirds and woodpeckers.

I was having accuracy/poi shifts with my Gamo swarm(22 cal). It seemed to be an issue when removing and replacing the 10 shot mag. I replaced the scope that came with the rifle, with a Bushnell air rifle scope. All issues gone, any miss inside 50' is my fault now. Red squirrel duty starts this fall around deer stands.
